This software, Network Asset Tracker Pro SE, offers both agentless and agent-based methods for collecting hardware and software inventory of remote computers.

However, it's worth noting that the Special Edition (SE) version of the software has no ability to get remote screenshots or access the remote processes. Nevertheless, the software is compatible with Windows NT up to Windows 10 and users can obtain information from remote PCs through either an agentless WMI method, or by using the "NAT Pro - Agent" which is installed on remote PCs.
Another handy feature of the software is that it automatically detects if "NAT Pro - Agent" is installed on remote computers, and users can also scan remote computers using a logon script. There are three types of scan available which include an immediate online scan (agentless method), immediate online scan using "NAT Pro - Agent", and an inventory using logon script.
Users can keep track of changes in inventory data using the history of scans which can be stored in one of the following databases: Microsoft Access, Firebird, Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle. The software also provides hardware and software inventory which includes data such as operating system type, version, build, product key, and product ID; service packs and hotfixes; shared resources; startup programs; product keys, and versions of installed software; running processes.
Lastly, the software can also collect data from SNMP-enabled network devices such as routers, switches, printers, repeaters, and more. This includes information such as description, up time, services, and more. Overall, Network Asset Tracker Pro SE is a powerful tool for tracking network assets and preparing asset reports.
