To run Network Failure, the Boost library and SDL dependencies such as SDL_image, SDL_ttf, and SDL_mixer are required. After installing the dependencies, the following commands should be executed:
$ cmake .
$ make
$ ./networkfailure
If the libraries are installed correctly, it is expected that cmake will be able to produce a makefile specific to the platform.
New features have been introduced in this game release, including an interface that allows players to change the difficulty level (aka randomness). Please note that the randomness increases when the difficulty is lower, and this is expected to be corrected in future updates. Furthermore, players can now turn off the sound and music via the interface.
The puzzle set in this release comprises of 7 different puzzles, providing players with an opportunity to explore diverse network configurations while still maintaining the ultimate goal of connecting all clients to the server.
In the save dialogue, the "Okay" button has been renamed to "Save" to improve clarity. Additionally, on Linux and *nix systems, puzzles are now saved in the default directory of ~/.networkfailure. The score algorithm has also been fixed to ensure accuracy.
