NotePro

NotePro is an excellent software that provides more options than the default Notepad and WordPad programs that come with Windows, but without the complexity of expensive word-processors. It is perfect for those who need to create or edit text files.

This program has a clean and attractive interface that puts all the necessary options right on the well-designed button bar. Despite having many powerful features typically found in a word-processor, NotePro is straightforward to use.

NotePro can handle standard text files, and it can also create and save Rich Text Format, Word doc and docx, Adobe PDF, Windows Write, and HTML files used by Microsoft Word and other word-processors.

You can work on multiple documents at the same time, and you have complete control over the text appearance. You can use any font installed on your system, control the font size and attributes, and even use colored text, including background fills.

Not only that, but NotePro also lets you quickly increase or decrease text size, add super- or subscript text, and change the text alignment (flush left, centered, or flush right). You can also quickly create numbered or bulleted lists, insert pictures and bookmarks, and create custom styles for the text.

NotePro has a built-in spelling checker and lets you import text from existing files. It also allows you to embed or link to objects and images. Additionally, features such as changing the case of text to all upper or lower, calculator, and character map are available.

The font preview in the font selection window gives you a quick peek at what a font looks like, and print preview allows you to see how your document will look before printing.
