ODABA is a high-level terminology-focused database management system, offering advanced capabilities that include natural language analysis, alongside a range of accompanying tools. It supports TO, OODBMS, and DBMS.

The new ODABA generation is packed with new technical features, a comfortable scripting language, and a complete overhaul of the tools. ODABA is more than a powerful database management system. It also provides technologies and tools that can improve software development productivity by 200-500%.
ODABA is designed to meet technical standard requirements, such as comfortable locking and transaction mechanisms, Internet database server capabilities, and different data storage formats. As a terminology-oriented DBMS, ODABA supports the conceptual requirements of the ODMG 3.0 standards for object-oriented databases.
To meet terminology requirements, ODABA provides conceptual extensions, including set relations, weak-typed collections, the ownership concept, support for transient properties evaluated at runtime, and multilingual information storage in generic attributes.
ODABA extends the object-oriented DBMS to a terminology-oriented DBMS that enables applications to be driven completely by expert or user terminology. Application elements' names such as forms, controls, object model elements such as types and properties, and functions reflect the customers' terminology. This means that misunderstandings are reduced, and the quality of applications improves, making applications closely aligned with reality.
ODABA provides manifold interfaces, an exhaustive C++ and .NET API, and a JAVA/C++-like script language OSI, among others, which makes ODABA a versatile and powerful tool for large-scale software development projects.
Version 15:
Extended support for XML import/export and support for defining aggregation views (data warehouse model) have been provided.
Performance has been improved concerning OSI and event handling, view checks and debugging features.
ODABA functionality as well as ODABAGUI API have been extended.
