The main rule of the game is the conversion rule, which involves stealing units by looking at their backs. Specifically, a unit can be converted to a different party if it is seen by a unit of the opposing party, but that opposing unit is not seen by the unit being converted.
Every turn, each player can move all of their units by one square, and turn all units to any direction. A unit can only move to a free square that was seen by the unit's party at the beginning of the current turn. Before a player's turn begins, an empty screen is displayed, indicating the turn number and the current player's symbol. During this time, all other players must turn away from the monitor.
The game ends when all units have been converted to a single party. The winning party is the one that controls the most game board squares. An active unit of a party is one that has belonged to that party during the latest turn of that party. The game includes five predefined game maps, as well as two recorded game sessions for players to learn from.
