Paint By Numbers

This game challenges you to determine which squares in a grid are black and which are white in order to form a picture. What sets this game apart from others is the use of number sequences in each column and row to help you solve the puzzle. These numbers represent contiguous sequences of black squares in that row or column and there must be at least one white square separating each designated sequence of black squares.

For example, a row might have a number sequence of 4, 3, 10, which means there are exactly 17 black squares in that row arranged from left to right as a sequence of 4 black squares in a row followed by one or more white squares, followed by 3 black squares followed by one or more white squares, followed by 10 black squares in a row. There might be one or more white squares preceding the block of 4 black ones and/or following the block of 10 black ones. By using the numbers and logic, you should be able to find the unique solution to each puzzle.

Paint By Numbers comes with a lot of already built-in puzzles to keep you entertained, but the game also allows you to create your own puzzles in its editing/creating mode. With two modes available - playing/solving a puzzle or editing/creating a puzzle - you can choose how you want to use the game.
