The PIB Patch is a software update for the PIB program.
I recently had the opportunity to use the pib patch software and I must say that it has made a significant difference in the overall user experience. The patch version 2006/05/06 boasts an array of new features that sets it apart from the original FreeBSD port.
Firstly, the removal of a small bug in the Search window with listbox and scrollbar widgets has greatly contributed to the smooth running of the software. Additionally, new key bindings have been introduced in the '.' toplevel which allows for greater convenience when navigating through the program. User can now easily open the port description window, open the search window, and go back effortlessly.
Moreover, most listbox widgets in the program now have the mouse click equivalent to a key press. This has made navigation through the software even more intuitive. In the Search window, the toggle between entry and listbox widgets has been made simpler.
The program UI has also been enhanced with more informative titles and icon names. Users can now override personal settings in .Xdefaults "options add...". The help has also had an update, which provides further clarity on the program's features.
Overall, I have only had a positive experience with pib patch software. The improvements that have been made have certainly made using the program much more fluid and convenient.
