Track your budget and payments easily with this Excel workbook. This macro-enabled solution includes features for recording expenses, forecasting future costs, and managing dues. Ideal for home and small business finances.

One of the first things I noticed about PIBudget was that it adds its own commands on the ribbon bar when you start it up. This makes it very convenient for users to access all of its functionalities in one place, while maintaining a consistent look and feel that's familiar to anyone who has used Excel before. Additionally, the user interface is well-designed and intuitive, even for users who might not be experienced with Excel.
Some of the main features of PIBudget include customizable Budget categories and sub-categories, an easy to use budget sheet, expense records, and a due payments register. One of the things that I really liked about the program was that it automatically calculates Actuals based on the user's expenses records, allowing for easy comparison against budget.
Setting up a budget is fairly straightforward with PIBudget. Users can input up to 10 main budget categories, and then break them down into up to 15 subcategories each. Once the initial setup is complete, the program displays personalized categories and subcategories in a grid, with space for a budget in each month. Here, users can easily set up monthly forecasts for each subcategory.
Once the budget is set up, the focus shifts to ensuring that the budget is respected. This is where the Due and Expenses section comes in. Here, users can record expenses, copy expenses to record similar payments multiple times, enter due payments, split due payments, and delay due payments. The Due and Expenses section also features a compact dashboard that provides expense forecasts and a quick look at available budget for each month. Additionally, there is an Actuals section where expenses and dues are added up in the correct subcategory and shown against budget on a monthly basis.
Overall, I found PIBudget to be a very useful and user-friendly budgeting spreadsheet. Its customizable categories and subcategories, as well as its convenient Due and Expenses section, make it a great choice for anyone looking for a simple yet effective budgeting tool.
