PingoS Tipptrainer is a software designed for touch typing training that can cater to both German and English keyboard layouts.
PingoS Tipptrainer is an efficient touch typing trainer which has the ability to support both German and English keyboard layouts. However, there have been several issues with regards to the compatibility of wxGTK and GTK with this software, and it has been determined that it only functions fully with wxGTK-2.4 and GTK-1.2, as well as with a non-UTF-8 locale.
To operate this typing trainer, wxWidgets is a requirement. The latest release of PingoS Tipptrainer has introduced some noteworthy updates, including a new team member named Hendrik Sattler ([email protected]). Thanks to Hendrik's assistance, the sources concerning the gettext stuff have been cleaned up, and he did an excellent job handling the autotools.
With Hendrik's knowledge, a plain "./configure; make install" is now possible. He also rectified certain bugs in the sources and made the switch to wxGTK 2.4. Additionally, PingoS Tipptrainer has been tested on Sun and can be compiled without errors using GCC 3.2.
