Pizzicato Beginner is ideal software for creating, printing, and listening to music scores for solo instruments or groups of up to 16 instruments. It's suitable for chorus, small ensembles, soloists, and keyboard music.

You can easily specify the key and time signatures, the page layout, as well as enter the content of measures by following the progressive tutorials available in the manual or watching the video tutorials. With the various tool palettes, you can specify how to lay out the measures and staves, select the clef, the key and time signatures, and enter notes, rests, accidentals, symbols, repeats, bar lines, etc.
The software allows you to enter up to 8 voices per staff and customize the number of measures per staff, measure width, and the general page setup of pages. You hear the notes when you add or move them on the staff, and when the score is played back, you get to see a cursor following the notes.
Pizzicato takes symbols like nuances, crescendo, ties, accents, etc. into account to influence the playback of the score through the sound card. You can also move, edit, or delete any item of the score at any time with ease.
Additionally, you can play on the music keyboard or with the keyboard or guitar fretboard window and get the music displayed on the staff. The software comes with a feature for adding chord symbols (A7, Cmin, etc.) and automatically getting the corresponding notes on the staff. You can export your music to an audio file (WAV) and use it to burn a CD.
With the software, you can add text, lyrics, chord symbols or chord guitar diagrams, guitar tablatures, and transpose your music to any tonality. If you choose to get the licensed version, you will also have a high-quality orchestral sound library that gives a realistic sound rendering to your music.
Lastly, Pizzicato Beginner includes a full music theory course that will guide you through creating the best music possible. Overall, this software is a must-have for anyone who loves to create beautiful music.
