I recently had the opportunity to test pySTEP (Python Strongly Typed gEnetic Programming) and found it to be a functional and stable piece of software. Although there are some areas that could use improvement, the software is currently running without any major issues.
One area that could benefit from further development is the inclusion of extra tutorials. As a user, I always appreciate having additional resources to make the most out of a software program. Additionally, it would be nice to see more features added for reading populations from the database.
Finally, while the crossover code is currently functional, it only utilizes 1-point crossover. I believe that modifying this code to allow for additional crossover options could greatly enhance the program's capabilities.
