This WoW add-on streamlines player, NPC and mob targeting for ease of use.
QTargetX is an awesome add-on for World of Warcraft that simplifies targeting of players, NPC, and mobs during combat and out of combat. This handy tool eliminates the need to constantly type '/target' by utilizing a convenient macro and add-on combo.
Upon first use, simply run /qt to open the window and click 'save macro'. This creates a macro called 'target' with a human icon that appears in the macro tab under player macros. Next, move the macro icon to the action bar and assign two keybinds. One keybind will be used for normal targeting, while the second keybind can be assigned to the left hand to reduce discomfort for extended use.
During normal use, click the macro icon or press the assigned keybind to open the window. Simply type the target name and press enter or click 'save macro'. If a target is already selected, use the 'current' button to save the current target. The window stays open for ease of use.
At any point, clicking the macro icon or pressing the keybind will locate the desired target. It's that simple! The window can be closed by clicking the 'x' or pressing escape. The macro is automatically updated and refreshed when running /qt, using 'save macro', or closing the window.
During combat, the add-on waits until the end of combat to update and clear target information properly. Say goodbye to frustrating typing and target confusion with QTargetX!
