The Quake 4 Patch for Linux Full Install is a first-person shooter game that has recently been updated. This latest update replaces the 1.1 patch and includes a variety of changes to enhance gameplay. Some of the modifications include a fixed pure server system, a new AddonPak autodownloading system, voice chat, and a one-minute warning for tournament matches. Hyper-Threading Technology and Dual Core support have also been added, along with several multiplayer specific fixes.
In Quake 4, players must defend Earth against the Strogg, a ruthless alien race that destroys all in their path. You play as Matthew Kane, a member of Rhino Squad, who must fight alongside other soldiers to take the battle to the Strogg home planet. The game begins with you as a combat marine, and later on, as a marine-turned-Strogg with enhanced abilities. Quake 4 was built using id Software's DOOM 3 technology, and also includes multiplayer competition similar to the popular QUAKE III Arena.
