RarMe is a unique application built using AppleScript Studio with the command line utility, 'rar', to create RAR archives. To use this software, it's compulsory to first download and install 'rar' separately. However, RarMe is still in its initial stages of development and therefore has a few rough edges.
Although RarMe is mostly functional, it's vital to note that several features of 'rar' are not yet supported in this software. Also, it's crucial to be careful when using RarMe, as it doesn't check input before attempting to create an archive, leading to errors with little practice.
The latest version of RarMe 0.5 features minor error checking, and although it assumes that the input is correct, it will now warn users if they provide unexpected input—for example, when a user enters "roar" into the volume box, it automatically runs with the switch "-vroar," even though this is obviously incorrect.
Despite this, the upcoming version of RarMe will include comprehensive input verification and error checking features that will give users an enhanced experience.
