RAVE

RAVE (Retrospective Analysis and Visualization Engine) is a powerful framework that allows users to generate highly complex analysis products with ease. At CERT/NetSA, we have deployed RAVE to support analysis using the SiLK suite of flow analysis tools. Our team has also created and distributed libraries to perform common flow analysis tasks using SiLK efficiently. These libraries include using pipe-and-filter-based command-line tools from Python, dealing with heterogeneous data sources, and efficiently retrieving time-series data.
