Rectangle Tetris

Rectangle Tetris is a unique and engaging game that I first played in my 6th grade math class. The game starts with a basic grid of nine by seventeen boxes. The game mechanics are simple: roll two dice and use the values to determine the side lengths of a rectangle that you will place on the grid. Once you have chosen your location, fill in the rectangle with your chosen color.

The game continues as you roll the dice again and continue to shade in rectangles. The ultimate goal is to have the least amount of empty cells on the grid at the end of the game.
