Rectangles! transitions

Rectangles! is a powerful software plugin designed for iMovie that offers remarkable alpha-blend transitions. With this plugin, you can access over two million breathtaking transitions, and that doesn't even include the intro, exit, or variant transitions available through the active rectangle feature.

The Rectangles! plugin works by dividing the clip into up to 10,000 rectangles that undergo individual blending. These rectangles are then integrated into over 40 pre-programmed sequences. The plugin offers controls to adjust the blending speed, horizontal, and vertical subdivisions. Once you set the number of rectangles and their transition speed, you can select the desired transition sequence.

The plugin provides more than 40 different pre-set sequences for fading the rectangles, such as left/right straight wipes, triangles, spirals, and circular shapes. It also contains numerous included transitions, such as crossfade, fade-in, and fade-out.

Rectangles! plugin's controls offer enhanced precision for manipulation. You can slide horizontal axes subdivided from one to 100, choose the number of vertical axis subdivisions from one to 100, and set the duration for individual rectangle transitions from A to B using a slider. Additionally, the randomized duration checkbox enables the duration of each rectangle transition to be shortened by a random amount.

The pop-up menu called Rects can control the order in which the individual rectangles are transitioned. There's also a color slider for fade-in and fade-out transitions to define which color the transition should be made to or from.
