By utilizing precise measurements of the pinnae, head, and torso, ReSpatializer can realistically localize a sound source through just two channels.
If you prefer a stereo speaker mix, ReSpatializer can do that too. In terms of system requirements, you'll need a PPC Macintosh, G3 or above, or an Intel-based Macintosh. Additionally, you'll need about 20 MB of available RAM (in addition to that required by your system, host software, etc.), 20 MB of available hard disk space, and an 800 x 600 screen resolution or higher.
To use ReSpatializer, you'll also need a VST 2.0 or Audio Unit host program. It can work in multi-channel mode with certain hosts, including Ableton Live (6.0 or higher), Steinberg Cubase SX and Nuendo, Apple Logic Pro 8, and MOTU Digital Performer (version 4.52 or higher). While it may work with other host programs, those haven't been specifically tested, but you can always try the ReSpatializer demo to see if it works with your setup.
