RetrospeKt

I recently tried RetrospeKt, a software designed to simplify and improve working with backups. Inspired by Apple's "Time machine" system, this project is based on the popular rsnapshot backup script. With Retrospekt, file browsing in konqueror is made easy as it allows you to access previous versions of backups points for each folder.

This software provides convenient konqueror service menu options including: restoring files from backups, comparing different versions of a text file with the help of the Kompare tool, browsing all versions of selected files, finding deleted files within directories and listing all changes made to selected files or directories.

Note that in order to utilize RetrospeKt, rsnapshot must already be installed and fully functional on your device.

The latest update includes some exciting features such as an enhanced search option that locates all files (even deleted ones) that match the search string. Additionally, directories are clearly marked in the journal and some cosmetic changes have also been made on the timeline.

Overall, RetrospeKt is an excellent software option for anyone who wants to simplify and enhance the process of working with backups.
