Overall, I found Rich Editor (RE) to be a fantastic cross-browser WYSIWYG html editor. One of the things I appreciated most about it was that it required no prior knowledge of HTML. Being 100% script made it extremely intuitive to use.
As a web developer, I had the option to incorporate RE in CMSs or simply use it instead of TEXTAREA tags. Additionally, the fact that it was implemented as a PHP class made it even easier to incorporate into my scripts.
What I found particularly impressive about RE was its advanced capabilities when it came to working with images. Not only could I easily upload files, but I was also able to use tables, links, stylesheets, FLASH, and more!
