"Rospell" is a robust UTF-8 programming editor that comes loaded with spelling support for both Romanian and English languages. It leverages QT library from Trolltech and is fully optimal for Linux and FreeBSD/PC-BSD platforms. The software is free (as in GPL) and has simple dependencies (requiring QT 3.x version only).
Among its key features are its support for UTF-8, ISO8859-2/16, and CP1250 (Windows) character sets. It also has XML support for most xml-based formats such as OpenOffice, AbiWord, Scribus, and HTML, with XML tags being recognized by the software and not included in the spelling process. Rospell comes with a Romanian spelling dictionary with over 750,000 words and English spelling akin to OpenOffice.
