One of the most advantageous features of this project is that it can poll many different SNMP sources in a highly efficient manner. Moreover, RRDBot has minimal external dependencies and stores all its configuration settings in text files. Additionally, RRDBot supports MIB definition files and uses textual MIBs in place of numerical OIDs with complete ease.
The project also offers tools that help to simplify the creation of RRD files and the various archives contained in them. RRDBot requires RRDtool to function seamlessly.
The latest release of RRDBot comes with several new features and bug fixes. Primarily, an assertion bug that was encountered when reallocating SNMP request memory has been fixed. Another bug with the asynchronous resolver that occurred when daemonizing has also been fixed.
