Sawer is an exceptional synthesizer that pays homage to the envelope and filters of the rare 1980's Soviet analog synthesizer, Polivoks. The developers of Sawer put meticulous attention to detail, specifically towards Sawer's filter and envelope designs. With this focus, the developers were able to ensure that Sawer offers a unique sonic quality that reminds users of the Polivoks hardware.

Despite its rarity, Polivoks had its shortcomings, particularly with keeping the oscillators stable and in tune.
