SharePoint Password Change

The SharePoint Password Change software offers two convenient web parts: the Password Change Web Part and the Password Expire Warning Web Part. These tools allow SharePoint users to manage their passwords with ease and without the intervention of a site administrator.

With the Password Change Web Part, users visiting a configured page can enter their old password, their new password, and confirmation of the new password. After clicking Change Password, the web part verifies the new password and submits the change. If the current password is incorrect or the new password does not meet the password policy criteria in place at the site, an error message will be displayed.

The Password Expire Warning Web Part helps users stay on top of password management by displaying a warning message prior to the password expiration date. The web part automatically detects the user's domain, user name, and account expiration date. The message includes a link to change the password and can be configured by the page editor to appear a certain number of days before the expiration date.

In addition, the software allows for a great deal of customization, with page editors able to configure the URL for changing passwords and adjust the message display settings in the web part properties setting column.
