Sion

Sion is a user-friendly frontend that simplifies the management of connections to GVFS/GIO remote filesystems. With Sion, users can instantly mount and connect remote filesystems and manage their bookmarks.

To install Sion, ensure that you have all the necessary requirements already installed on your system. Once the requirements are met, building the code is easy. Simply enter the following commands:

$ ./waf configure
$ ./waf build (possibly as root)
% ./waf install

To customize your build and access a list of options, enable debugging or implement a different installation prefix, run:

$ ./waf help

Users can start Sion in multiple ways. Firstly, through the Desktop Environment menu by navigating to the application menu and selecting System --> Sion. Alternatively, users can start Sion from the command line by typing the following command and pressing Return:

$ sion

For a list of command line options, run:

$ sion --help.
