SlothCam is a widget for Dashboard that allows complete customization of webcam viewings. It is the only software of its kind and provides users with unique features to personalize their webcam experience.
I recently tried out LothCam, a unique Dashboard Widget for Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger). The main function of SlothCam is to let you view any image-based webcam in Tiger's dashboard environment. This software is highly customizable, which is definitely one of its highlights.
Through the preferences panel, you have the ability to easily add URLs to any image of your own choosing. This feature is incredibly simple to use: just click on the white "i" icon in the corner to locate the preferences. Once you're there, enter in a URL and the software will do the rest.
What I particularly liked about this software is the way it operates in the background. While dashboard is in the background SlothCam stops updating, which saves both memory and bandwidth. However, when dashboard is brought to the foreground, SlothCam returns to updating in real time -- exactly what you want from webcam software!
