Smultron is a powerful text editor that is simple and open source. However, some users may find its interface to be a bit doubtful. In my opinion, this issue can easily be resolved through a patch. Fortunately, I was able to create such a patch, which I am happy to share with others.
Aside from using this software myself, I have also contributed to its design. Specifically, I worked on creating the first set of icons for Smultron. While I was planning on designing a new set of icons for version 2, the lead developer Peter Borg decided to work on the design himself. Despite this, I still went ahead and finished my own set of icons, which I am now releasing as a patch that others can use.
To update your Smultron software with my new icons, all you need to do is:
1. Download the patch
2. Make a copy of your current Smultron application
3. Launch the patch and follow the instructions
After you complete these steps, you should notice that the software has a fresh, new look. It's worth noting that Smultron is still in beta release mode. While everything should be okay, if you encounter any difficulties, feel free to drop a comment for the author.
