Inventory Log encourages you to organize your inventory into smaller departments, allowing for optimal ease of use. The shopping list is also arranged by departments, so it's easy to quickly move through the store finding items close together.
It's also incredibly easy to search for specific inventory items using the built-in search function. Simply type in a letter, and the program will automatically show all items that match.
Inventory Log was designed to generate the shopping list automatically. Each item in inventory has a default amount that you want to stock. When you press the "auto generate" button, the program will add all items below the default to the shopping list.
Another feature that I found incredibly useful was the ability to record the price of all inventory purchases. The program then automatically calculates the total worth of your inventory and breaks it down by departments. Detailed expense reports are generated in HTML format, which can then be printed.
One final perk of Inventory Log is that it can be printed on the receipt printer, which is incredibly convenient. The printed shopping list easily fits in your hand, or pocket.
