I recently had the opportunity to try out SSuite PC-Drop, a file transfer software that aims to simplify the process of transferring files between Android smartphones and Windows PCs on the same local Wi-Fi network. One of the standout features of this software is its use of direct Peer-To-Peer FTP communications for data transfers, eliminating the need for an internet connection or registered cloud account for background syncing.

SSuite PC-Drop comes in two versions - an Android app file (APK) and a Windows WIN32 executable program available in both 32bit and 64bit versions. Once downloaded, all you need to do is unzip the file and copy and paste it to a convenient location.

When it comes to file management, SSuite PC-Drop utilizes the standard Android "Documents Folder" as the default folder for sending and receiving files from your smartphone, while on your Windows system, it uses your "Public Documents" folder. The software does not allow modification of the file paths for user-friendliness, simplicity, and security reasons, ensuring that users always know where their files are being sent or received.

One notable feature of SSuite PC-Drop is that if you are unaware of your smartphone's IP address, you can easily send a file from your smartphone to your Windows PC running the Windows edition of PCDrop. The sent file will display your smartphone's IP address in the sender's IP address editbox of the Windows edition of PCDrop. Additionally, the Windows edition of PCDrop will automatically display your Windows PC's IP address in the top center of the program's window, allowing for easy file transfers.

Lastly, it's worth mentioning that SSuite PC-Drop does not require Java or DotNet, making it an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient software option. Overall, if you're looking for a simple and reliable method to transfer files between your smartphone and Windows PC, SSuite PC-Drop is an excellent choice.
