Star Conquest

Star Conquest is a highly engaging turn-based strategic wargame that caters to players who enjoy a more intellectually stimulating game experience. It offers players the option of playing as a single player, multiplayer or network game. The game allows up to ten players and ten computer controlled players to join in a game. The objective of the game is to guide your species in a quest to conquer all corners of the known Universe.

At the onset of the game, players start with two or more populated planets and a small number of Star Ships. As a player, you must use these Star Ships to explore and colonise other Star Systems. As the game progresses, you will come across other species that will either work against you or choose to align with you.

The player can choose to either conquer all or be part of an alliance. Each year, strategies must be set in motion, such as moving Star Ships or Fleets to attack or defend, colonising Planets or exploring Star Systems. The year ends when every player has issued his or her commands, and the results are calculated. The game continues until all players are eliminated and only a single player or an allied group remains.

Star Conquest is a relatively complex game that demands weeks of intense concentration and strategy deliberation. Therefore, players looking for fast-paced action games may not enjoy it. If playing on a single computer, each player takes turns giving orders. In contrast, while playing a network game, each player takes their turn simultaneously.
