Star Conquest Updater

Star Conquest is a turn-based strategic wargame that offers a variety of game modes, including single player, multi-player, and network play. Up to ten players can participate in a game, with the option of including up to ten computer-controlled players. As the player, your objective is to guide your species in expanding to all corners of the known Universe.

At the start of the game, you are given two or more populated Planets and a small group of Star Ships. You must use these Star Ships to explore and colonize other Star Systems, taking care to encounter and engage with other alien species that you may cross paths with. Your gameplay strategy is in your hands - will you choose to conquer all or fight as part of an alliance?

Each year, you can decide how to move Star Ships or Fleets to attack or defend, colonize Planets, and explore Star Systems. Once every player has issued their commands, the year ends, and the results are calculated. The game continues until all players are eliminated, and only a single player or alliance remains victorious.

While Star Conquest may be complex, the game offers plenty of opportunities to appreciate its intricacies and subtlety of gameplay. This is not a fast-paced action game; instead, it rewards strategic thinking and planning.

If you play Star Conquest on a single computer, each player takes turns issuing their orders. If you play in network mode, all players issue their commands simultaneously.

This release of Star Conquest is a patch to fix a previously known crashing issue. While largely untested, it is recommended that players have either the demo or full 1.0 version of the game before updating.
