It acts as a mediation framework and seamlessly facilitates messages through, into, or out of a company, while providing various services, including logging, service lookup, performance mediation, versioning, failover, monitoring, fault management, and tracing.
This project is currently undergoing incubation at the Apache Software Foundation's (ASF) and is sponsored by the Web Services PMC. Incubation is necessary for all new projects until they've undergone a thorough review and are deemed stable by the ASF. This status doesn't fully reflect the code's completeness or stability, but it does indicate that the project hasn't been entirely endorsed by the ASF yet.
To date, the project has released its first Milestone M1, featuring a wide variety of services, such as simple mediation based on regex and xpath rules, onbound routing of messages, and HTTP Proxy support.
