Telescope is a web metasearch engine that can be used on Windows operating systems. Offering more than just general web searches, this software can also be used to navigate through web directories, search for images, keep up with the latest news headlines and search through encyclopedias and freeware. With access to 7 web search engines and a total of 38 search engines, the user can trust that their search is comprehensive.

The search itself is tailored to each search engine's support for boolean operators. Depending on the search engine used, the user's query will be converted into advanced boolean or simple keywords. This ensures the most relevant results are returned whilst simultaneously reducing the occurrence of duplicate results.

Furthermore, the Verify feature double-checks the relevance of each page and in the process removes any broken links. This feature can also generate summaries making it easier for the user to identify relevant results. Additionally, the Find in Results feature allows users to quickly locate information on a specific subject within the search results.
