Markosoft offers Test Creator and Test Taker software for creating and administering tests, either printed or electronically. The Test Creator allows users to design and print tests or automate classroom processes and grading.
I recently had the pleasure of using Markosoft's Test Creator and Test Taker applications and was blown away by how easy they made the process of creating and grading tests. The Test Creator offers a range of question types, including multiple choice, true/false, short answer, and essay questions, and allows you to print the tests in paper format or automate the process using the Test Taker application.
To make use of the Test Taker's fully automated administration and scoring, you simply need to set up a class and add your students to it before creating your tests and adding them to the class. Your students can then log into the Test Taker using a username and password you create, and take their tests directly through the application. The application automatically grades each test and tallies up the scores in an electronic grade book in real time.
Students can even review and print their completed tests to see which answers they got right and wrong. As the teacher, you retain the ability to alter grades or the status of tests if necessary, allowing for simple test retakes if needed.
For those who prefer more traditional testing methods, the Test Creator also allows for the creation of offline, paper-based tests.
