TestCam applies live sinusoidal wave distortion to video feed.
TestCam is an exciting technical demo that I designed during the Christmas break. The software is capable of applying sinusoidal wave distortion onto a live video feed sourced from any camera, such as iSight, for instance. The user interface is designed to mimic the perspective of video chats conducted through iChat, where multiple participants appear on the same screen.
One of the significant limitations of TestCam is that the demo version comes with an expiration date of 02-30-06. Therefore, users will need to upgrade to the paid version to continue using the software after the expiration date.
To run TestCam, the user's device must currently have an ATI Radeon X600 (X800 recommended) or Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 (6600 recommended) or better graphics card installed. This requirement is due to the fragment program length, which may pose a challenge for some lower-end devices. However, I'll resolve this issue in an upcoming release, ensuring better compatibility.
