The Eight Queens

Chess enthusiasts, get ready to challenge your strategic thinking with this exciting game of placing eight queens onto a chessboard! The objective is to bring peace to the board by preventing the queens from capturing each other.

Upon starting the game, you will be provided with a standard chessboard and eight queens will be already placed on the right of the board. Remember, according to the rules of chess, a queen can capture any other piece on the same line, be it vertical, horizontal, or diagonal.

To start placing the queens, you can simply click and drag them onto the board as per your strategy. However, keep in mind that once placed, the queens cannot be removed. Moreover, a queen cannot be placed if it is on the capturing line of another queen on the board.

The game keeps a record of the number of queens you successfully place on the board and the time you spend in doing so, which will be displayed on the left of the screen.

The game will only end when you have successfully placed eight queens on the board and ensured that they are not able to capture each other anymore, and no more moves are possible.
