I recently tried out The Undisputed King of the Jungle screensaver, which I downloaded for free from RateMyScreensaver.com. The screensaver includes 26 stunning photographs, all of which showcase the majestic lion (Panthera leo).
As a mammal of the family Felidae and one of four big cats in the genus Panthera, the lion is an impressive creature. Weighing between 150-250 kg (330-500 lb) for males and 120-150 kg (260-330 lb) for females, the lion is the second largest feline species, with the tiger coming in first.
Living for around 10-14 years in the wild and over 20 years in captivity, lions can only be found in the wild today in Africa and India. They love hot climates and often hunt in groups.
