ThinkTanks is an exciting software that allows you to drive one of three tanks - light, medium, and heavy. The light tank is swift but has weaker armor. The heavy tank is armored with a powerful weapon, while the medium tank offers the best of both worlds. All tanks can use weapon powerups to get out of tight spots and score points. The different tanks also have special projectiles, including super-speed projectiles, area-effect projectiles, and bounce back projectiles that skitter across terrain and explode with deadly effect when near another tank.

The game also comes with custom game creation and Bot configuration options that enable you to create custom battle scenarios.
The Auto Drop Feature allows you to configure online games and populate them with bots that drop out when humans join in. Additionally, the game features password-protected servers that allow you to keep out anyone but those you give the password to, making it an excellent option for private games. A Child-Safe Filter is available to turn off player and server names and in-game chat messages to keep children safe from verbal abuse.
The newest version of the game comes with several improvements, including adjusted tanks to make the heavy one more useful, easier aiming, and the addition of an option to cycle between all maps from a dedicated server.
