ThunderStorm

As a data analysis program, ThunderStorm may not be loaded with as many features as some commercial programs. However, its main aim is to provide users with basic tools for manipulating worksheets of data and for plotting and analyzing data. One of the notable things about ThunderStorm is that it is organized in projects. Whenever you launch the program, a new project is automatically created for you. Additionally, you can create new projects by either selecting New from the File menu or by simply typing the command-N shortcut keys.

In ThunderStorm, you can easily add or remove columns by clicking on the corresponding buttons in the toolbar. The Add Column button will insert a new column to the rightmost position of your worksheet. Should you wish to move that new column to a different position, all you need to do is drag it from its title. To remove a column, select it and click on the Remove Column button. The program will prompt you for confirmation before deleting the column.

All worksheets in ThunderStorm contain a special column labeled "i," which is the index column and contains the row numbers. You can move this column to any position, but it cannot be deleted or recalculated. With ThunderStorm, you will have all the basic data manipulation and analysis tools you need to get your work done efficiently.
