TickerType is an exciting game that helps you to develop and enhance your typing skills. The game comprises of five turns, each turn being either 30, 60 or 90 seconds long which can be selected by the user. Additionally, words are chosen at random from a built-in dictionary which makes the game more interesting. Furthermore, the user can select the length of the words between short (2-4 letters), medium (4-6 letters) or long (6-8 letters) according to their skill level.
As soon as the game or turn starts, the words start marching across the window in tickertape fashion. Also, the players can choose between slow, medium or fast speeds which add more excitement to the game. The main objective is to type as many words as possible before the time runs out. A countdown is also provided in each turn to keep the player informed of the remaining time.
If a word is typed correctly before it runs off the window, the word disappears, and the player earns ten points along with one point for each letter typed. The top ten scores are also saved for the player to keep track of their progress. The game also supports sound, and the player can turn it on/off according to their preference.
