TkPanel

I recently had the opportunity to try out the panel software known as TkPanel, and I must say, I was quite impressed. This software draws inspiration from the CDE panel, while also incorporating other features that set it apart from similar programs.

One of the primary functions of TkPanel is to allow users to easily call upon frequently used programs, which can be customized to meet individual needs. Additionally, TkPanel has the ability to lock the computer and run arbitrary commands on the fly, as well as display basic information about the computer's resources, such as CPU and memory usage.

The software also includes a simple schedule for added convenience. But perhaps one of the standout features of TkPanel is the graphical tool that allows for easy configuration and management of variables, button placement, and sub-panels.

Another benefit of TkPanel is the ability to change the page when running on specific Window Managers, and the ability to place it at any edge of the screen, allowing users to run multiple programs simultaneously. Additionally, TkPanel allows users to align it at the corners, turn it into hidden mode, and select what tools to display as buttons.

The software is written using Tcl/Tk scripts on a Linux system, which allows for easy modifications and execution on systems where Tcl/Tk is available. Plus, users can easily access all of these functions using simple keystrokes.

Overall, I highly recommend TkPanel to anyone who is looking for a reliable and user-friendly panel software that offers a wide range of features and customization options.
