TNG Calendar is a software designed to mimic the appearance of computer panels from "Star Trek: The Next Generation". It functions as a calendar that displays events and schedules in a futuristic interface.
If you're a Star Trek - Next Generation fan, you may have noticed that there's no calendar widget in the Apple dashboard with a TNG look. To bring some "Trekkie-Feeling" to your desktop, I decided to create the TNG Calendar widget which has a design inspired by the TNG computer panels.
Now you can change your calendar widget and have access to all the standard calendar functionality. This includes features such as displaying the current day in a different color, showing future and past months, and the ability to switch back to the current date at any time.
Additionally, you'll have the flexibility to view weekday and month names in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Romanian, and change the language in preferences. You can also choose to start the calendar weeks on either Monday or Sunday and select from six different fonts in preferences.
Furthermore, the TNG Calendar widget takes into account leap years and all calendar settings are saved. You can even access ISO 8601 week numbers.
In order to use this widget, you'll need an Apple Macintosh with a G3, G4 or G5 CPU and have the dashboard installed. Overall, the TNG Calendar widget is a great addition to your dashboard for any Star Trek fan who wants to have a little more TNG in their life.
