I recently had the pleasure of using Total Video Player for Mac from EffectMatrix Ltd, which can be downloaded from the App Store. As an AVI Player for Mac and MKV Player for Mac, this video player is truly a powerful tool in that it supports virtually any media format.
One of the standout features of Total Video Player for Mac is its ability to fully enjoy 1080p HD video. It also offers hardware acceleration, making it capable of playing 4K videos with ease. Even incomplete or corrupted videos can be played on this app without issue.
