TrackDesigner is an innovative layout editor designed specifically for Scalextric slot car racing system. With TrackDesigner, you can easily create the perfect layout without spending hours on your knees, breaking connectors, and trying to get the perfect fit on both ends. Instead, you can take advantage of the software and spend hours in front of your Mac creating and fine-tuning the layout.

One of the key features of the software is the ability to create your own bank of track sections using descriptions or Scalextric codes. Additionally, all sports and currently available classic tracks are included with proper conversion between them handled. The application also features draggable section-type bins that indicate the number available and colour-coded lanes that respond to any cross-over sections. Users have the ability to change the direction of curves and side-swipes, create bridges, drag and drop or centre the whole track and even rotate the layout through 90 degrees clockwise or anti-clockwise. Unlimited undo/redo is also available.

TrackDesigner comes with traffic lights and different engine sounds to indicate how well the ends meet. A simple graphic will indicate whether or not lanes are of equal length, and scaled vertical and horizontal axes show how much room your layout will need. A slider to scale track view is also featured, along with a choice of metric or imperial units and metrics drawer. Another useful feature is its ability to save and load layouts, and a quick help menu that shows key modifiers and detailed HTML help.

The unregistered version is limited to 30 sections per layout, but it is fully functional.
