TriX

TriX software is a chat client that is based on VyQChat, and the project is released under the GNU GPLv2 license. Compared to VyQChat, TriX has new features such as file transfer, user avatars, logs, links navigation, broadcast, and multicast type of connection, as well as search by IP address, and several other unlisted options.

TriX is now compatible with 1.91 protocol version of the Vypress Chat (TM) developed by VyPRESS Research, although there are some protocol differences in TriX that require support for avatars. The software is written in C++ with the Qt library from Trolltech company.

The current version of TriX has been tested under various Linux distributions such as Fedora Core 3, 4, 5, 6, Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 Sarge, Slackware Linux 10.1, and more. TriX is currently supported by a small team of developers, and users are encouraged to provide feedback and suggest improvements.

In the latest release of TriX, the only major change is that the issue with establishing an encrypted chat session between TriX and Vypress Chat has been fixed. Overall, TriX is a reliable and user-friendly chat client with several noteworthy features that make it stand out from the competition.
