TV::Anytime

The TV::Anytime Perl module is a software tool designed to parse TV-Anytime bundles. TV-Anytime, organized by the TV-Anytime Forum, is an open standard format for richly describing Radio, Television, and other types of media. It is based on ETSI TS102822 guidelines and comes with a metadata specification containing a comprehensive genre scheme, program linking and grouping methods, credit listings, and numerous other data fields.

This module specializes in parsing TV-Anytime files that the British Broadcasting Corporation releases from its site. Users can download a .tar.gz file and unpack it to use the module. Once installed, the TV::Anytime module offers various methods to extract information from the TV-Anytime file.

For instance, users can find out what services are available from the parsed file, either for television or radio. The Services method returns a list of all services available, while the services_television and services_radio methods return only television or radio services, respectively. Additionally, users can query for any groups available in the TV-Anytime file.
