As an educational software reviewer, I came across an interesting fact that children in the United Kingdom start attending nursery schools from the age of three. Nursery school is referred to as the Foundation State and many children continue to attend nursery school till they form the age of five. Interestingly, the students attend both full and part-time classes. Initially, the Local Authority (LA) or independent schools set up classes for students starting nursery school. However, as the child progresses, they may begin attending what is called a Reception class.

The curriculum for nursery schools in the United Kingdom is designed specifically to cater to basic learning needs. The learning approach is such that goals are easily achievable by the children. The primary objectives for the Foundation Stage are to put the children into a structure where they can learn different subjects, with each child in the class being at varying stages of learning, depending on their age and other factors. Fundamental mathematical abilities are essential, whilst social well being is promoted. The students should also begin to develop an advanced understanding of the world around them.

Nursery schools primarily aim to develop children's communication skills and emphasize the importance of creativity in their young minds. It’s impressive to see how much emphasis is put on the fundamentals of learning for such young students, as it paves the way for a brighter and greater future.
