Unicap VideoJack plug-in enables the creation of a video out connection for all devices supported by Unicap, acting as a VideoJack client.
VideoJack is a unique audio server that supports video. The Unicap VideoJack plug-in can be used as a client to establish a connection for generating videos from all devices that are supported by unicap. Our testers have thoroughly examined and confirmed the viability of this client with both jack_video_output client and LiVES software. The unicapgtk and libunicap libraries are prerequisites for the Unicap VideoJack plug-in to function without impediments.
On the other hand, unicap is an application that furnishes a uniform API for all kinds of video capture devices. It was designed with simplicity in mind and aims to allow developers to focus on their primary image processing tasks when using video capture devices. Drivers for devices are managed through a plugin mechanism, and support for new devices can be integrated independently. Additionally, the API carries over even after the addition of any new device, hence an application will work with all devices supported by unicap. Users are encouraged to obtain a General Public License (GPL) while using unicap while commercial licenses are available for other projects planning to use unicap but shouldn’t be released under the same terms and conditions as the GPL.
