Unmount Volumes

Are you tired of having all of your external drives mounted automatically when your Mac boots up? Maybe you have some volumes that you only need to access occasionally, or you have clones of other volumes that you use for backup or development purposes. With the installation of a package from a downloaded zip file, you will get a new preference pane titled "Unmount Volumes" at the bottom of your System Preferences.

Once you click on this preference pane, you will be taken to a list of volumes on your Mac that are currently mounted or were previously selected for automatic unmounting at startup. To turn off automatic unmounting, you'll need to go through Disk Utility, but with this package installed, you won't have to worry about that. To unmount a volume at startup, all you need to do is check the box next to the volume you want to remove and enter your Admin username and password.
