VDOWall is an innovative application that allows you to create a real-time streaming video using different sources. By controlling each source independently, the app combines them into one stream, which can be projected through a device like a beamer. Written in C++ and utilizing OpenGL and the Qt toolkit by Trolltech, VDOWall began as a personal project for coding practice. However, as people showed interest, it became a public project with no particular end goal in mind. The app design is fairly straightforward, with plugins acting as sources that are compiled into one video output. This output can then be streamed to a projection device or saved as a video file on storage media.
Plugins can include loading images, videos, or even creating real-time OpenGL visuals, each featuring their own controls that can be easily accessed through the application.
